Panto

“My photography is the result of being there at the right moment.”
– Rene Burri

One of the more fun aspects of my professional work has come in the form of shooting pantomime. Oh no it doesn’t – oh yes it does! Yes, it shares much in common with shooting more serious material, but who couldn’t love the opportunity to photograph those glorious costumes, wonderful sets and laugh out loud moments that good panto provides? I especially love it when the panto involves puppetry as this brings a unique set of challenges in keeping the attention on the puppet and away from the puppeteer.  Another bonus is getting to spend time with the cast when official promo photos are required although it can be difficult at times trying to keep a straight face with the silliness this often brings.
